AERA C-1 Chrono:
Made for the Road

AERA builds watches the way the best tools are made: purposeful, robust, and quietly beautiful when put to work. The C-1 Chrono carries that thinking into new territory - a racing chronograph reimagined for the present, engineered less for the trophy cabinet than for the everyday miles that actually fill a life.

The C-1's design story is rooted in the golden age of motoring: the reverse panda dial, the twin-register layout, the lacquered racing-red hands that once tracked lap times and top speeds when humankind was still pushing the limits of what was possible on road and track. That tension, heritage performance reinterpreted with a contemporary restraint, became our production north star. We leaned into the romance of the open road and the precision of the machine, building a set that let the dial do what it does best: shift between tool and object depending on the light, the moment, and the wrist it sits on.

With a small, agile crew, we produced a suite of stills and motion assets designed to carry across AERA's launch touch points: web, social, and campaign placements - balancing macro product detail against wide, human-scale frames that put the watch back where it belongs: out in the world, in motion, in use.

At the centre of it all is the watch itself: a 42mm chronograph in 904L steel, powered by an automatic Sellita movement with a 56-hour reserve, finished with a reverse panda dial, hand-lacquered detailing, and the kind of legibility that only earns its keep when you're actually using it. An edition of 300 -built, like everything AERA makes, to be lived with.
