AERA C-1 Cloud:
A Study in Light

AERA builds watches the way the best tools are made: purposeful, robust, and quietly beautiful when put to work. The C-1 Cloud carries that thinking into softer territory, a tonal white reimagining of the C-1 platform, designed less for the race track than for the long arc of a day spent outside, in motion, in good light.

The Cloud's design story is told in white. A dished one-piece dial in tonal shades, a domed sapphire crystal that lends the face genuine depth, sky-blue lacquered seconds, and an AERA logo cut from solid Globolight that glows like the midday sun. A chronograph that thrives in bright light and holds its own in the shade, function-led design with a romantic edge. That tonal language became our production north star. We leaned into clean daylight, soft surfaces, and the kind of pared-back composition that lets the dial breathe, shift, and reveal its detail as the light moves across it.

With a small, agile crew, we produced a suite of stills and motion assets designed to carry across AERA's launch touch points, web, social, and campaign placements, balancing macro product detail against wide, human-scale frames that put the watch back in the world it was built for: travels far and wide, or adventures nearer to home.

At the centre of it all is the watch itself: a 42mm chronograph in brushed 904L steel, powered by an automatic Sellita bi-compax movement with a 56-hour reserve, finished with a hand-applied dial, sky-blue accents, and the kind of legibility that only earns its keep when you're actually wearing it. An edition of 300 - built, like everything AERA makes, to be lived with.
